Hi there,
just installed Office2010 64Bit on my Desktop.
(Clean Install of Windows7 64-Bit Pro, no other Email-Software, not even
Windows Live Mail)
Sadly it says when my mobile phone (HTC Touch Diamond 2) is connected:
(Google Translate from German)
"there is no default email client available, or the current mail client can
not fulfill the messaging requirements. Run Microsoft Outlook and set Outlook
as default email client"
I tested 32Bit Outlook2010 on my Laptop - it works fine with sync - but not
the 64Bit Version.
Already read the complaints of other German users in the web - nobody seems
to have an answer.
It seems as this is a Windows Mobile Device Center Problem as this is not
64-Bit.

Most answers in Newsgroups and other Forums mostly blame "the WMDC-guys" - I'd like to find out who really could have a solution or a workaround.
Can anybody please help?
Regards,
Marc

Hi Marc,
this is I guess also the word I was looking for -
for the answer - not for the problem:
"frustrating"
No offence MaryAlice - please not - but who is "the Microsoft team"? :-)
Microsoft has around 60,000+ employees.
Most of them in Sales and Marketing, right? :-)
Is there a dedicated team that works on the fix?
Is there a WMDC-Team?
Does it have a blog?
Does it have a team-leader?
Are they sitting in Seattle?
Is this a strategic fix?
Is there a new build of WMDC coming which includes the solution already and is in testing?
Is there perhaps a case opened up for this problem?
Is this already sent to one of Microsoft's "coding-factories" around the globe?
Again - please noone take any offence - but this is how Microsoft image is often taken.
The big Software-company where noone feels responsible, but still everything is handled politically correct and often nothing shows any progress.
In hope for a soon fix for this beta-version-bug (which I know is beta and therefore is time to be fixed).
Regards,
Marc
P.S.: Wasn't there a leak or something from the final Office2010 built already?
