Windows Update not working on XP SP3

Hello, I have XP SP3 and IE8. I try to go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com but whenever I go there it just results in an endless redirect loop between v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx and v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us.

I have scanned my PC with MSE and MBAM both updated and nothing was found. Please help! I am trying to keep this old machine up-to-date.

Hi Steven,

Thank you for posting your question on Microsoft Community Forums.

Based on the description I understand that you are unable to install windows updates from the windowsupdate.microsoft.com as it stuck in a loop.

I would suggest you to follow the article provided to fix the issue:

You cannot install updates after a repair install of Windows XP or after Windows XP SP3 is installed immediately after a clean install of Windows XP SP2

I tried the reference and kb943144 and installed Windows Update Agent manually, but none worked.
I have now performed another clean install of SP2 and installed SP3 and tried to visit Windows Update but it didn't work. I scanned again with AV software updated and nothing was found. I installed Windows Update Agent again manually but it still didn't work. All the other computers on my network can visit Windows Update fine.
