Error code 0x8007054F: could not install SP3 for Windows XP

original title: Error code 0x8007054F: could not install SP3 for Windows XP due to Filec:\windows\system32\drivers\acpi.sys being open or in use by another application. "Internal Error"

I have been trying to install Windows Service Pack3 for Internet Explorer8. When trying to Install this "HIGH-Priority Update", it starts the installation process, then comes up could not Install Windows Service Pack 3 due to File c:\windows\system32\drivers\acpi.sys being open or in use by another application. Internal Error 0x8007054F. The only thing I have running when this occurs is the Internet (where I have to go to get to the update) and the installation progress windows. What do I need to do to get past this problem? Please help me...
