Windows XP Media Center Decoder Error

Recently had to have Windows XP Media Center Edition re-installed after OS was corrupted.  Now when I try to watch live tv through the Media Center app I receive error message "Decoder error. The video decoder has either malfunctioned or is not installed. Please Media Center and/or the computer". I have done restarts for both but continue to receive the error essage.  How do I fix?

Download and install The Windows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility to determine if an MPEG-2 video decoder (also called a DVD decoder) is installed on your Windows XP computer and whether or not the decoder is compatible with your WMP.
