Maybe it would be worth a try to use a different profile when publishing.
(also...it might be worth a try to Publish the project to a folder on your
hard drive and then import it into DVD Maker)

Windows Vista
Create custom movie settings
for Windows Movie Maker
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Create-custom-movie-settings-for-Windows-Movie-Maker

Windows Vista -
Publish a movie in
Windows Movie Maker
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Publish-a-movie-in-Windows-Movie-Maker

Movie Maker in Vista -
Publishing / Quality Profiles
http://www.papajohn.org/Vista-Publishing.html

There are some profiles you can download from the following article
that should work on Vista.

Movie Maker 2 - Saving
Movies - Custom WMV Profiles
http://www.papajohn.org/MM2-SavingMovies-CustomProfiles.html

Drop the .prx files in the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared\Profiles
(you'll have to Create the Profiles folder if it's not there)

Good luck.....

WHEN CONVERTING MICROSOFT POWER POINT 2007 to DVD THE TEXT BECOMES BLOCKY ALMOST TO WHERE I CAN NOT READ IT

Summary:

Recently I have had major problems with trying to burn a power-point Or print screens into DVD and have the text to remain in a readable format.  I used several techniques and several different types of software to try and accomplish this goal. The final result was that this type of conversion was never going to look good because I was working with DVD technology.

The DVD format can not support HD (high definition) video.  DVD format will accept 4 dimensions (720*480, 704*480, 352*480 and 352*240).  DVD also displays the presentation in either a interlace or progressive scan.  The new conventional terms used for this is 480i(interface) or 480p(progressive). The two display styles differ by how they display the content from top to bottom; Interlace(i) displays every other line than goes back to the top and fills in the opposite, progressive(p) is the newer standard and shows every single line in consecutive Order from top to bottom (hence 1080p).

Another factor which has caused me pain .............(please see my website).
