Error - 0xC00D 1199, Windows Media Player 9 won't play file types - .cda, .mp3, .wav.

Original Title: Window Media Player, version 9, won'tplay play______KGB.

My Windows Media PLayer, version 9, on my laptop running XP won't play file types - .cda,  .mp3, .wav although it has done previously.

I m now getting an error messae:

0xC00D 1199  but I can't find a solution.

AlsoI am not able to install Media Player 11.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your machine prior to this issue?

For this particular issue, there is a hotfix available you may contact our Microsoft Customer Service  & provide them the kb 814129 article which contains the hotfix.
