Question

Is there a way to batch wireless network configurations through XP?

We have a lot of users who will need to connect to our new wireless network. They are all running Windows XP pro. I am trying to see how we can configure their machines via a batch file.

Thank you.

Answer
Hi TechNATL,

Thanks for using Microsoft Answers!

The netsh.exe command with the switch -wlan is what you're looking for.

Unfortunately, Windows XP does not contain the -wlan switch whereas Vista and 7 do.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance!

Instead of telling our young people to plan ahead, we should tell them to plan to be surprised.
