microsoft visual c++ runtime library And MEM_BAD_POINTER problem

Hey there last time i encountered a problem with the game gothic I/gothic II:MEM_BAD_POINTER and when i click abort i get another error of microsoft visual c++ runtime library:abnormal program termination.I use windows xp pro sp3,but the most interresting fact is New games work without any problems but these gothic games refuse to work.If you need any additional info please write it down here;)

1. Did you make any changes on the computer prior to the issue?
2. What is the exact error message do you receive when you try to play gothic games?


Method 1:
Try to refer the steps from the link and check.
You may receive a "MEM_BAD_POINTER" error message on a computer that is running Windows XP with Service Pack 2

Method 2:
Run the game as administrator and check if it works.
Right click on the game icon and click on Run as administrator.

Method 3:
Try to uninstall and reinstall the game and check.

#1Uhh i cant really say if i made any changes on the computer since i did not used it for past time and just used it recently .#2I don't know if i can put links on this forum but i will post with 2 problem boxes:

On to methods:
Method nr1:I allready tried to do this downloaded the hotfix but it said i need to have service pack 2 meanwhile i have service pack 3
Method nr2:I run system itself as administrator,dont have other profile
Method nr3:I did attempted it as well but did not help as well;/
I allready think that reinstalling the system might help but there isnt pendrive that might hold data i have on hard drive

Note: When the troubleshooting is over do not forget to reset the computer to normal startup. Follow the step 7 in the above article.

I really think reinstalling current system can help me now;>even manual clean boot didn't help since i can not use guided help(isn't available for my language it seems)thank you for some tips...if you have anything else please leave it here
