Ohio State download Problem

When I trying downloading my Ohio state which I paid for with H&R Block At Home Deluxe + federal e-file + state I get the following error message: Unable To Connect SSL ERROR: bad server certificate or incorrrect PC date Please check the date set on your computer. Saved the federal return and closed H&R Block At Home, made sure the date and clock has the right day and time. Reopened the program to try and get the state program only to have it get the error once again. Started Friday March 2, 2013, again Saturday March 3, 2013, and once again on Sunday March 3, 2013, still get the error message. Is there a problem with getting the Ohio state program? Or must I only try on weekdays during H&R Block's office hours, or the hours of Ohio State business? grammyfigment

Answer

Hi,

Welcome to Microsoft Community Forums.

From your issue description I see that when you try to download Ohio state program you get an error stating Unable To Connect SSL ERROR: bad server certificate.

Could you please answer these questions in order to narrow down the issue?

1.        Which web browser are you using to download the Ohio state program?

2.        Are you using any proxy settings?

This problem can occur if Internet Explorer does not recognize the Root Authority of the SSL Web site, and the Auto Proxy configuration file is configured to return an alternate Proxy Server to the client. When Internet Explorer is using a proxy array and fails to match the Secured Servers Root Authority with the one in it's local store, Internet Explorer internally adds the proxy used to established the connection to the Internet Explorer BadProxy Server list. Internet Explorer then tries to contact the next proxy server in the array, and if the next server is unavailable, Internet Explorer tries to locate the server, and if this is not successful, it generates a navigation error.

If you are using Internet Explorer please try the steps from the following link and check if that works:
