Can't load / find VBScript

Hi,

I get "Could load VBScript engine" message when running PowerDesigner.  When trying to install Motorola_Software_Update, I get "Can't find script engine "VBScript" for scripting ...".

I runregsvr32 vbscript.dll andregsvr32 jscript.dll as administrator. I also tried sfc /scannow :-(  but the message keep displaying.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium SP2.

Please help me to fix this problem. Your help would be most appreciated.

Hi,

I found that my Vista registry "{B54F3741-5B07-11cf-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}\InprocServer32\"

Default = "C:\\Program Files\\Alwil Software\\Avast4\\AhAScr.dll"
Default Engine="C:\\Windows\\system32\\vbscript.dll"
ThreadingModel="Both"

Since I uninstalled Avast4 longtime ago I changed my registry to

Default = "C:\\Windows\\system32\\vbscript.dll"
Default Engine="C:\\Windows\\system32\\vbscript.dll"
ThreadingModel="Both"

Can I empty "Default Engine" ?

My problem is solved :)
