Playing MP4 in windows media player 11

I am not able to play MP4 video files in wmp 11. It says these files are not supported by wmp. Can you suggest a remedy.

THIS IS THE EASIEST !! go to http://download.cnet.com/windows/ and search for wmp mp4 codec. It will say media player codec pack. Its free safe and no spyware. :] enjoy
