The mini-port is part of the network driver and may not actually cause any issues since most never
use its functions. The Virtual Port is used to allow other WiFi devices to connect to the internet via
your computer's WiFi. If you do not use this function then you can disable the virtual adapter. Device
Manager - Network - Virtual WiFi double click it - Driver's tab - Disable.
Check the System maker's Support, on-line documentation and drivers, and their forums (if any).
Also check the actual device maker's site. New drivers may be needed.
-------------------
Control Panel - Device Manager - Network - WiFi write down the make and complete model info -
double click - Drivers tab write down version - then On Power Management tab UNCHECK "Allow
the computer to turn off this device........."
Then on Driver tab click Update Driver (this may not do anything as MS is far behind certifying
drivers) - then Right Click on the Device - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will refresh the driver
stack.
Now go to System Maker and look for updated WiFi driver - download - SAVE - go to where you
put it - Right Click on it - RUN AS ADMIN - REBOOT
Then go to Device Maker's site and look for even newer (Realtek, Intel, or whoever made the
device) and repeat the installation.
