Windows Vista update error code C80003FE

Hi

After reseting computer back to factory settings Im not able to search for windows updates how can I fit this? I have Norton 360 instaled on my compter. Windows vista home edition.

Hi shajeliel,

1. Try re-registering the below file and then try to perform Windows Update.

a. Click on Start, type cmd in the search box.

b. At the command prompt, copy and then paste (or type) the below command.

regsvr32 Wintrust.dll /s

Close the Command Prompt window.

2. I also suggest that you disable the Antivirus\Firewall temporarily and then check for the issue.

 Note: Please make sure that you enable the antivirus software after performing the test to keep your computer protected.

3. If you still come across the issue, you may try resetting Windows Update Components and then check for the issue.
