KB977816  update installs w/o error but never actually gets installed.  Requests to install this update keep appearing, and I have run the update several times.

I am thinking this is not installing because I am using MedaPlayer v6.4 and MediaPlayer Classic and Not Mediaplayer v9.

Can Microsoft fix this so it stops asking to install an update that is not going to install???

Thanks,

Fox73, if that's all that's bothering you, hide the update.

Yea, I went and turned off automatic updates and the noticed disappeared, but now I see that the update was successufully installed all along.  Found it in Add/Remove, Mediaplayer Security Updates.  I think I'll just wait till this Wednsday and do a manual update and then turn back on auto updating and see what happens.  The update is in there.

Thanks for the reply!!!

@fox73: To avoid confusion, please begin a new thread about your specific problem and computer.  State your IE version and full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; WinXP 64-bit SP2; Vista SP1; Vista 64-bit SP2; Win7; Win7 64-bit) in your first post.  Thank you.
