Command line switch for unisntallation of windows update

I am trying to uninstall the patch WindowsXPr-KB953838-x86.exe.
I tried like "WindowsXP-KB953838-x86.exe /uninstall" but it is failed.
Please help how can i uninstall this patch through command line switch.
I have also verified some command line options which are mentioned in the below
links

Nothing is working fine.
FYI: I am able to uninstall this patch from "Add or Remove programs".

Hi,   

 

Welcome to Microsoft Vista Answers Forum! 

 

You may try the below provided steps and check if the issue gets fixed,

 

You need to run the command prompt in elevated mode and then type in the command to uninstall the particular update, to do that follow the steps provided below.

Right click on the desktop.

Click on new Shortcut, type CMD, click ok,

For a name type Elevated Command, click ok.

Now Right click the shortcut and click properties, then advanced, then Run as Admin.

The command prompt opens and you need to paste this command

C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB 953838-v3$\spuninst\spuninst.exe    and press Enter.

This will uninstall the particular windows update by taking you through the wizard.

 

Also note that you need to run the command from recovery console to uninstall any service pack updates.

To start your computer with Recovery console and remove or uninstall the updates you need to follow the below provided  link.

thanks, but the $NtUninstall folders don"t exist on vista. so this doesn't work.    works fine for XP, just not Vista
