Transformer TF101 won't boot

My ASUS Transformer TF101 eee Pad won't boot. When I power it up the boot screen comes on and goes off in about 5 second intervals. Once I do this the power button no longer has any effect and the boot screen continues to do this until the battery dies. I have tried the soft reset button and it has no effect. I have tried to do the hard reset (power button and volume down button simultaneously) and the screen shows the android robot lying on it's back with a triangle symbol over an open panel on it's chest.

Is there anything else I can try before taking or sending it somewhere?
