If I read this text I have to laugh! More than 2 years later Outlook and Microsoft still doesn't support CalDav and CardDav! Even Outlook and the Microsoft Web Calendar are not able to sync proper.

It takes time yes of course so much time that the end of Microsoft will be faster than there support for this standrad.

I think in a few years Google will release an operating system for PC and than the time from Microsoft is going to an endpitty but it will happen. Microsoft is not able to fulfil ther costumers needs and if there is once another option people will go.

About caldav, the saddest thing is:

They do support it in windows 10 - for google and icloud. But they do NOT let you configure an account including the username setting. That's all that is missing for full custom caldav support!

Well, that and the 'certificate wall' they have built, were you can't accept a selfsigned certificate and have the calender work with your server. I'll be interested to see how it'll work with letsencrypt ones.

On top of that: Me STILL not being able to sign up for internet calendars (like the one published by my employers controlling software) using username and password... is just sad.

Get instructions here: Allowing less secure apps to access your account

Many famous desktop apps are considers as unsafe although secure IMAP protocol is used. Another not so beautiful move to push clients.
