problem connecting via usb modem in Windows 8.

Hi,
I have two usb 3g modem that works fine in windows 7 but not working in windows 8. They are detected by windows 8, can connect to network,there are  data packets sent and received but the message is --no internet access--while the network is conected. What  I have to do in this situation?

From your description it seems that you are unable to access internet with your USB 3g modem.
 
Could you please answer this question so that we could help you in resolving the issue?
 
1. Were there any changes (hardware or software) made to the computer prior to the issue?
It seems that the issue might be with the Network drivers of the USB 3g Modem.

I would like you to try these methods and check if it works.

Method 1: Run Network Troubleshooter
a. Press “Windows key +W” and type “Troubleshooting” in the search box,
b. Select “Network and internet” option.
c. Now select “Network adapter” option and run the trouble shooter.

Method 2: Un-installing and Re-installing Software
`
a. Un-install the USB Modem Software from Control Panel.
b. Insert the USB Modem and install the Software when it prompts.
c. Restart the computer and check with the issue.

Method 3: Install the driver in compatibility mode.

a. Download the Network Driver from the manufacturer website for Windows 7.
b. Download and save it on the Desktop
C.Run the Setup file in compatibility mode and check if it helps:
d. Right click on setup file.
e. Click on Properties.
f. Click on Compatibility tab.
g. Put a check mark on Run this program in compatibility mode for.
h. Select Windows 7.
I. Put a check mark on Run this program as an administrator under Privilege Level.

If the issue still exists, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the USB 3g Modem to check if the drivers are ready for Windows 8.
