I have just purchased a new PC. It continues to crash with the following errors shown;
1. machine check exception (frequently)
2. clock watchdog timeout (several times)
3. Several crashes where it does not go to the blue error screen but remains frozen.
these errors occur soon after booting into windows 8.
The PC spec is;
Motherboard Ultra Durable GA-B75M-D3H
Intel 3.2 i5
8GB Kingston DDR
2TB hard disc
I've tried removing one or the other memory chips and the erros still occur. I've checked resetting all cards and upgraded the BIOS. Reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled Windows 8. I have been unable to load any windiws updates as the crash occurs before
that can be done. The errors still occur.
Please advise.
Thanks
Thanks to all to replied to this problem.
I have eventually tracked it down to the wifi card being the problem. Having done a search, it seems that other folk have found that it does not work with Windows 8 so it looks like I should have done this before buying the card!
