How Do I Disable The Touch Pad on Windows 8 Lenovo laptop

I've done several searches and can't seem to find a way to turn off my touch pad on my Lenovo Laptop. I recently updated my laptop with Windows 8, so I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it.

On my Lenovo u410 running windows 8 I depress the F6 key without using the FN key and it enables/disables the touchpad.

My lenovo laptop i had to install the Synaptics driver from Lenovo support pages to make my Fn +F6 key combo to work & enable/disable the touchpad but quickly discovered it re-enables at every startup so I had to open Mouse in control panel and from the Synaptics window there is a big Disable button which permantly disables it once logged into that user account, but otherwise its enabled.. which is a good thing if a problem during startup.
