GH22NS50 LG Super Multi Drive

Since I installed Windows 8 I can't burn or even play cd's on my pc. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I have been to LG website but the last update they was for 4/12 and it won't extract for me.

Hi,

 

If it isn't showing up in Device manager, this should help...

 

1. Run Command Prompt as an Administrator. Hover your pointer over the lower left corner, and right click when "Start" pops up. It will be on the list that opens.

 

2. Type or Copy and Paste following and hit enter

 

reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" /f /v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001

 

3. Type Exit and hit Enter

4. Reboot the system.
