Windows Update Code Error 8024800 A
I am getting the following message CODE 8024800A Due to this error message my computer is unable to make any new window updates I went into the start menu and typed cmd and clicked on administrator and unfortunately I am only getting a black screen that says c windows system 32
I even tried disabling the MCAfee firewall for a few minutes to see if this would clear the system to send the updates however did not work either
Pls advise how I can resolve this problem

Hello Karen,
Do a Logoff and Restart for a fresh start.
Turn off your Antivirus program so that it does not interfere. If you have more 3rd-party security software, close those as well, so they do not interfere.
Do the following to Stop the Windows Update service.
get to an Elevated command prompt in Windows 7:
Start >> type in
cmd.exe
and immediately press the Ctrl+Shift+Enter keyboard combination and cmd.exe will be launched as if you selected
Run as Administrator.
The command prompt windows will start.
In the command-prompt window
type in
net stop wuauserv
NEXT:
Using your browser, do to this thread, at the reply marked as Answer ==>
in the Command prompt, one by one, starting with the 2nd line there .....
enter each line and press Enter-key after each
do all the lines listed there
