'Bing Desktop' in Windows Update

I am not interested in the 'Bing Desktop' in Windows Update I say hide but it never goes away and everytime I go back to update it says there is an optional update available, Bing!  why can't I get rid of it like any other unwanted update?

My update settings are: 'check for updates and allow me to choose....'

Any ideas on how to stop being annoyed by this?
Answer
Answer

1. Delete the contents of

   %windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Downloads <=this folder

and reboot.

2. Immediately run a manual check for updates, uncheck & then hide the Optional Bing Desktop update.
