System Information is unable to open this .nfo file. The file might be corrupt or incompatible with this version of System Information.

Recently I was asked to send in an .nfo file of my system and after I create one it comes up with the above error when trying to open it.  I have found some fixes for this issue but none apply to Windows 7.

 

Please help.

Can you get hold of a copy of MsInfo32.exe from another Windows 7 machine and either replace you current one or stick the replacement in your Document folder and see if it works from that location?
