.NET framework installation problem : HRESULT 0xc8000247

I am having problems installing the .NET framework 4, because I keep getting this error. HRESULT 0xc8000247

I am running 64 bit windows 7 Home Premium on an HP laptop. I just reinstalled windows, and the only programs

on it are google chrome and AVG.

Any help, suggestions or feedback greatly appreciated!

1) Did you perform a repair installation or clean installation of Windows?

2) What is the exact/complete error message?

3) How are you trying to install .NET Framework?

Try the following methods and check if it helps.

Download and install the standalone version.
