.Net Framework 1.1 not installed

Hello, I'm trying to install an application (this one: http://education.ti.com/calculators/downloads/US/Software/Detail?id=268#) on my Win7 x64 machine, but I keep getting the following error:

Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 or later is not installed. Microsoft 1.1 is needed for TI NoteFolio Creator software to function properly....

I am running a fairly new. I have done all of the Windows updates and driver updates. NoteFolio has been around for a while. What's wrong? How do I fix this?

Thanks

Answer

Hello Jeff999,

I was mistaken. It seems that .NET Framework 1.1 is not installed in Windows 7 with .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. There is not a way to make your software compatible with .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. Your software vendor would need to make a change in their software to have that happen.

Look at the following
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproappcompat/thread/45ffa593-3372-4486-818f-f541eddec6a2

In the meantime, you can follow the steps k.c.s. stated in the link to install .NET Framework 1.1:http://saranspot.blogspot.com/2009/02/installing-dotnet-framework-11-on.html

Please let us know if that helped or if you still need assistance.

Sincerely,

Marilyn
