Error code 2343 message when trying to repair/remove iCloud 2.1.1.3...

Scott Squibbles asked on
I am trying to remove iCloud 2.1.1.3 and I get an error message "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2343." After I click "OK", it gives me the message "Fatal error during installation." How do I fix the error? What to do?

Hello Devon,

I would suggest you to run the fixit from the link “Diagnose and fix program installing and uninstalling problems automatically” and then check if this fixes the issue.

If that doesn’t work then I would suggest you to check with iCloud support for more information.

Sathish, I have run the "Diagnose and fix..." Mr Fix It.  It has been running for over an hour and still shows the dialog box "Attempting to fix problems with iCloud" and the green progress bar continues to cycle.  I have the slowest DSL connection available as I live in a rural area.  How long should I wait?

So, after waiting for the fixit program to finish his work (over 45 minutes!), all that it has done is remove the unistaller from the Programs and Features control panel option, but the software is still there!!!
Now I can't even re-install it to try to get rid of it. It gives me another error!
Help is appreciated! Thanks!

Finally fixed it by downloading standalone installer from apple. Intalled ok, and then uninstalled ok!
Thanks!

I am currently doing that this moment but it has been downloading or fixing for like almost 4-5 hours now. I don't know how long it is suppose to take. Do I cancel and restart it again?
