One reason that confused me for a while is that CutePDF keeps the last place it wrote a .pdf to in the registry. If next time it cannot connect to that place CutePDF does not come back with the dialogue to specify a location to save. I guess it just sits
there waiting. In my case the last place it saved was a network drive that was not available when I went walk abouts with my laptop. To fix this particular issue you will need to change the following registry entry to point to a local drive, c:\ works for
me.
HKCU\Software\Acro Software Inc\CPW\Filename
So it seems that you may need to hunt through the registry nto resolve some CutePDF issues, search for ACRO with regedit but don't change anything unlless you are sure what you are doing..
