Burning an ISO image onto a USB?

Greetings,

I have an ISO image that I want to burn to a USB which I would like to use to boot a PC. However, I have found no tools to do so. Any help would be appreciated.

Everyone,

The following utility worked for me just fine:

Universal-USB-Installer-1.8.3.7

I downloaded it from:

www.pendrivelinux.com

Then I downloaded a Linux .ISO image, created the USB bootable drive with the above utility, with the .ISO image, and then tested it.

I can run Ubuntu Unix from a bootable USB containing the OS on it.

I like windows, specially Windows 7, but security issues, and professional needs, well I am exploring Linux as an alternative, rather than just go Apple, which they tell me is unhackable. LOL!.

Regards,

Jean-Pierre

Hi ,

You will need a usb stick that is the same size as install disc (ie. Your .iso file. )

If you have a .ISO image of an OS which you have downloaded you can mount it in a virtual disc drive with

Use this download to copy your OS install disc to USB stick.

Put the program into a folder name it wintoflash and Unzip the download.

Now look for an application icon that looks like a yellow T on its side, double click it to start program

Use the programs wizard set up. Point to your ( OS install disc / .iso file. ) in DVD drive or Virtual DVD, then add drive letter for USB stick

Wintoflash will now copy the Win OS to usb disc.

When finished change the boot order in bios. Make the USB stick first boot.
