active x control ocx file

Hi,

We have a old powerbuilder application which is running fine on Windows xp.

This application has a  .ocx(OLE Active X control) file. This file is currently 16 bit and is not registering in windows 7 environment. Please see error below.

I have decompiled this file and got the source code. I am trying to recompile the file.

How can i do it in Micresoft visual studio 2010.  Will recompiling and re-creating this  ocx file as 32 bit resolve this issue ?

We are migrating our applications to Windows 7.

Error while installing in Windows 7 :

MSI (s) (14:A8) [13:11:12:409]: Product: Capstone_Analyst_Workstation -- Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package.
A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
Action RegisterPBCallbackOCXAction, location: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\, command: regsvr32.exe /s "C:\Program Files (x86)\Capstone\pbcallbackocx.ocx"

Thanks,

Avinash.

Hi Avinash,

The issue you have posted would be better suited in Microsoft visual studio 2010 forums.
