original title: Windows 7 Starter Limitations?
Bought Acer Aspire One with Windows 7 Starter. What are the limitations? What will I not be able to do if I don't ungrade to full version? Can I use Starter as long as I want? Old computer has XP Home.

Buying Anytime Upgrade
Type Anytime Upgrade in the Search programs and files box in the Start menu and click on the Windows Anytime Upgrade icon. From there, you can buy an Anytime Upgrade to Windows 7 Professional/Ultimate. Then you can enter your Anytime Upgrade product key and
perform a simple upgrade to Windows 7 Professional/Ultimate. All programs and files will stay on the computer, no disk is needed and it takes about 10 minutes.

OEM's are putting Starter on all their netbooks because it reduces their cost. Some people think it's because netbooks can't handle higher editions - that is not true, if it can run Starter it can run Ultimate (although some can't do all the features, like Aero).I agree. My netbook came with Starter installed. I upgraded and am glad I did.
