recently installed a new hard drive. installed windows 7 and then all updates including sp1. was never asked for product key. after sp1 install i'm getting an error code that windows can't activate and error code 0x8007007B. also a message that i have
22 days to activate. what do i need to do?

Please use slmgr.vbs /ato to activate and update KMS client information in order to update values.
You are using a Volume License KMS license. KMS Licenses often require that you reactivate every 180 days by reconnecting to the KMS on which it was activated.
I suggest you contact your Network Administrator for assistance or whoever distributed this volume license to you.
