What this error means is, your Windows 10 installation folder is unfinished and/or corrupted. Now, how do you fix that?
1. Go into "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" and delete everything in that folder.
2. Now, run the command prompt as an administrator. Type in "wuauclt.exe /updatenow".
3. Go to your Control Panel > Windows Update and your Windows 10 should start re-downloading from scratch, hopefully without flaws this time.

I did that, it downloaded it and it installed. I was about half way when I went out of the room and I returned to a screen which said I need to install updates. I did that. I get back onto windows 7 and it said nothing about windows 10. When I did that command again it came up with this http://gyazo.com/0d0d7d237f5ba598a0cb8d8805c78e35 How do I fix this please

I tried this and it was to install Windows 10 insider preview not Windows 10 pro!

Same issue for me on my tablet dell venue pro 8.

And no effect of the suggested solution around C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download and wuauclt.exe /updatenow

That method worked on my desktop computers.... but it continues to fail on my notebook!

Exactly the same here. Worked on my desktop PCs, won't work on my Lenovo Yoga S1 laptop.

80246010 and 80246007
