Which partition to install windows 7

I am upgrading my windows vista home to Windows 7 Pro. it asked me which partition I wanted to install it on, and I'm not sure. Once I install it on a partition, how do I uninstall windows vista when I'm done? Thanks.

You would install it on the same partition Vista is installed on. If you have multiple partitions on your hard drive while still in Vista make a note of the size of the partition that Vista is installed on (usually the C: partition) and use that value as a guide to where to install Windows 7.

Note: Windows 7 Professional can not upgrade Windows Vista Home (The only version of Vista that Professional can upgrade is Vista Business Edition).

If however you have a the "Full" product and not an upgrade version of Windows 7 then you can perform a "Custom/Clean" install of Professional.
