Upgrading from Vista to Windows 7 and receive error OsVersionMismatch
I am trying to upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista Business SP2, 32 bit Dell Optiplex with 1 GM of memory. Antivirus/spyware is turned off. Windows 7 went thru the entire install process and then gave message that upgrade was not successful. When booted from
the Win 7 CD the system recovery seached for Windows installations and Vista was the only operating system shown. I then went to startup repair and got the message that startup repair could not repairthis computer automatically. The details provided were as
To do an in place upgrade, you must boot from to the Windows Vista desktop, insert your Windows 7 DVD, click Install, when the setup menu appears, clickUpgrade.
This will preserve your personal files, settings and installed applications.
