Performance counter registry hive consistency Problem - SQL 2008 Server installation

Dear All,

I would like to install SQL server 2008 Express under Window 7 Home Basic and I got a problem during installation.  The problem message is Rule "Performance counter registry hive consistency" and the articel 300956 does not apply to Window 7.

I have searched the Microsoft forum and find a similar question with answer to the link http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/w7itpro/ but could not find the answer.

I was using Windows XP with Personal SQL server before and want to upgrade to Window 7 with the appropriate SQL server.  Can someone please help me?

Thanks

Kenneth
