Getting a Windows 7 not genuine pop-up

I bought Windows 7 when it first came out and a while later I am getting a pop-up that is saying my Windows 7 is not genuine. I don't know if this is a virus or what. I have Windows 7 Home Edition x64

I would suggest downloading and running the Genuine Diagnostics tool (MGADiag.exe) from this web site *on the machine in question*. Click "Continue", wait patiently, click the "Copy" button then “Paste” the report into a reply message in this conversation.

Do you have an Intel® Rapid Storage Technology driver installed?  If so you might want to visit the Intel website and get the latest version for your system.

*grin*

It is unlikely you will have an Intel® Rapid Storage Technology driver installed, then...  Thus why I asked instead of just suggesting.  No - if you do not have a current Intel® Rapid Storage Technology driver installed, you should not update (could not.)

However, that does not keep you from running the SFC /SCANNOW from the first link to verify system files.

I also ran the system file checker and it said it found corrupt files but it was unable to fix some of them. Details are in the CBS log (which I could not open and see).

Look at option three from this article:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

That should get you into the CBS log file and you can post the issues it could not fix here...
