Question

Dule Booting Windows 7 & XP

Hi

I have just installed windows 7 home premium 32 bit vers but would also like to re install my version of XP as a duel boot option. I have created a new partition which should be plenty big enough but when I try to install XP all goes well at first but then it comes back with an error message saying no hard disc can be found and gives me no option but to abort the install.  Any help as to what I'm doing wrong would be gratefully received

Thanks in advance

Answer

The normal proceedure is to install XP first and then Windows 7.
However there is a workaround if you read these articles.
Note: The partition you created should be a "Primary" partition for XP.
You may also find it easier if you boot to Windows 7 and delete that partition you created for XP and let XP create it during the install.
