Can I activate Windows 7 more than once? __

I am very interested in moving from Windows XP to Windows 7 but one thing has me worried. I have a home built computer that I upgrade every 1-2 years and I do clean installs when I do. Will I be able to activate my copy of Windows 7 more than once on my own personal computer?

As long as it's only installed on one computer at a time yes.

Also, as long as it's not an OEM version, The Full retail version will allow freedom to do this.
Xp used to allow quite a bit of freedom to upgrade your pc every so often I've been using an OEM version of XP thru quite a few upgrades and still works great. Not sure how locked down W7 is going to be.

No. The rule is quite clear. It's one copy (or one license) for each
computer.

There's nothing new here. This is exactly the same rule that's been in
effect on every version of Windows starting at least with Windows 3.1.
