Question

'boot configuration data store could not be opened" when starting bcdedit.

'boot configuration data store could not be opened" when starting bcdedit. Prev config-dual boot XP Pro x64 on 1st drive; XP Pro 32 on 2nd physical drive.  Nuked 1st drive and installed Win 7.  It appears the Win 7 didn't recognize the 2nd OS because it wasn't on a partition on the same drive?  All I can find is info on editing an existing data store. I don't see info on how to create one from scratch, except that a /create option exists and the various option, but not how to decided what the values should be. Any help is greatly appreciated.
