Hi Donna J.

1.      How long have you been experiencing this problem?

2.      Have you recently installed or uninstalled any software or hardware?

3.      What was the exact error message that you received?

I would suggest you to follow these steps and check if the issue is resolved.

Step 1: Disable automatic restart

         1.    Right Click on computer > properties

2.    Click on theadvanced tab”

3.    Locate the Startup and Recovery area and click on the Settings button.

4.    In the Startup and Recovery window, locate and uncheck the check box next to automatically restart.

5.    Click OK in the Startup and Recovery window.

6.    Click OK in the System Properties window.

If you cannot try the above the steps in normal mode, try to disable automatic restart from advanced boot options menu, see the link below:

  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

Step 2: Make sure plug and play Service is set to automatic and started. To do this, follow these steps:

1.    Click on Start-Run, type "services.msc", the click on OK.

2.    When the Services window loads, navigate to the " plug and play", the double click on it to open it,

3.    Make sure the "Startup Type" says "Automatic" and started. If it doesn't, use the drop down menu to change it.

4.    If it already says: "Automatic", then click on the "Recovery" tab at the top, and change the "First Failure" line to "Restart the Service", then click on "apply", then OK.

Follow the same steps as above to start “DCOM Server Process Launcher” service.

   If the issue still persists,

Step 3: Run an online scan for any threat and try to fix them
