Hi CorionD,

1. Did you make any changes to your computer recently for this issue to occur?
2. Do you have security program installed on your computer?

Step 1:  Follow this step if you are able to boot to the desktop.

You need to Disable automatic restart on system failure on your computer and note the error message you are receiving in the event viewer and you need to post back to us.

First you need to follow these below steps to know the technical information of the Blue screen error message.

a. Right click Computer.
b. Click on Properties.
c. Advanced System Settings.
d. Advanced Tab.
e. Startup and Recovery Settings.
f. Uncheck Automatically restart.

Step 2:

Try troubleshooting this issue with clean boot.

Refer the following Microsoft KB article:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: After troubleshooting, make sure to put the computer to start as usual as mentioned in Step 7 in the above KB article.

Bug Check 0x116: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR

The VIDEO_TDR_ ERROR bug check has a value of 0x00000116. This indicates that an attempt to reset the display driver and recover from a timeout failed.

Update the graphic card driver, also the BIOS and check your RAM for errors. If this doesn't fix it, try different PSU and a different graphics card.
