Here is my 3 most recent mini dumps....

How can i fix this? It feels like the biggest waste of money buying this computer. My experience so far has been horrible, i just want my computer to work.

Hi,

The last of the three minidumps would not download.

Since the machine is still under warranty you really should get Dell to fix the machine.

Frankly I would backup the data off the machine in a redundant manner and then revert the
machine back to out of the box state and if the errors still happen contact Dell Support to
have them fix the machine. Doing this takes anything that you might have done out of the
equation so Dell can't say it is something you have done.

Bug_Check 124 is a Fatal Hardware Error

This is usually heat related, defective hardware, memory or even processor though it is "possible"
that it is driver related (rare). Remove ALL power and reseat all cards, memory and cables (on
both ends) - actually remove and replace - do not just snug. Make sure the system has adequate
ventilation - add a small fan blowing into intakes. Carefully inspect the motherboard and other
cards for damage. Pay attention to the fatal hardware error implication.

Have you updated your display/video or other major drivers latetly - check in Control Panel -
Windows Updates to see if a driver has been loaded there. Use the generic troubleshooter below
and when you get to the driver section use the methods in the next message and then return to
the troubleshooter as needed. In rare cases the antivirus/antispyware/security programs can
cause this error.

Also check with System Maker and Video/Display adapter's Support as there could be known
issues - also check in their forums.

How can i fix this?

First, you have an issue with the CPU. It has Timer Issues.

Try to update the BIOS, your is a bit too old:

BiosVersion = A03
BiosReleaseDate = 12/09/2009
SystemManufacturer = Dell Inc.
SystemProductName = Studio XPS 8100

The latest version is the A4.  Us this doesn't help contact Dell again.
