all of my desktop icons have been replaced with word icon

The properties show all the correct data for each icon but when selected they all start Word.  I have Windows 7 and Office 07.  Word also is started when reboot.  I have ran male ware regestry cleaner and Norton Anti virus.  Nothing found but obviously something has happened.  I did totally uninstall Office 2007 and the Icons where imediatly revised to their original properties and function.  When I reinstalled Office the Word Icons returned and all icons started word when selected.  Any Help, Thank very much

The problem was in the registry, the LNK file had word.exe tied to it.  Change the value to none and all returned to normal.  There is a file to fix the registry entry.
