Fast way to identify and delete multiple copies of songs in windows media player (without identifying one by one)

Is there a quick way to sorting and deleting multiple copies of the same song in windows media player? (without identifying the multiples one at a time). (And without having to download an additional program).

Hi PINKLEXI,

You can not sort and delete the multiple copies in Windows Media Player. Let us say in a single folder on your hard drive you can not have two copies of a song or a picture with exact file name though it is apossibility that you have the same song or file with exact file name in two different folders in this case Windows Media Player will have two entries.

You can browse to these files in the Windows Media player and delete one file individually.

Another workaround would be that type the name of the song in the search bar in the library and  then delete the enteries you want to delete however in this case you need to know which songs already have duplicate copies.

Hope this information was useful.
