unknown user called slavik

I went to c drive, users and there I see three folders the first two are supposed to be there, the third is not.  It is called slavik,  when I try to open this user folder called slavik I get the same normal list I always see.  If I try to open all the folders are empty except for the desktop folder.  Earlier when I was still going rounds with this user If I had clicked on the music folder I would have seen windows media player music files in another language,  think it could have been russian.  I right click on the user file and select delete and deletion begins but is halted informing that this file is shared.  I select continue and it brings up another message box that says you need permission to perform this action.  You require permission from jj/slavik to make changes to this folder. (jj is the computer).  I select try again.  Same message box so I select cancel. I right click on the slavik folder and go to properties.  Contains 935 files and 566 folders 354mb. Click on the sharing tab you have that slavik is shared, network path \\jj\users\slavik.  I click on the security tab and I see object name: c:\Users\slavik.  User names box has system, jj cleanaccount, jj administrators.  All three have full control.  Earlier slavik was in the user name box but I stripped slavik of all rights and then slavik came back as everyone who I also removed. Now what?

Answer
The terminology you use is not quite in agreement with standard Windows terminology, which is why I am not sure what you have and what you deleted. Here is a brief explanation of the concepts:
  • Each machine has a number of user accounts. See below for a method to find out what they are.
  • Each machine has a number of user profile folders. They are usually kept in C:\Users. Some are created by the System, e.g.
    c:\Users\Public
    c:\Users\Default,
some belong to existing user accounts and some belong to user accounts that no longer exist.
  • You can have user accounts without a user profile folder (which happens if the account was never used).
  • You can have user profile folders without user accounts (which happens if the account got deleted).
To clarify what you really have on your machine, do this:
  1. Boot into Safe Mode.
  2. Click Start.
  3. Type the three letters cmd into the Search box.
  4. Press Ctrl+Shift+Enter
  5. Click "Run as Administrator".
  6. Type the following commands and press Enter after each of them:
    mode con lines=50
    (to increase the screen size)
    net  user
(to see what accounts exist on your machine)
    set  username
(to see what account you currently use)
    net user slavik
(to see when this account was last used, if it is active and if it is an admin account)
    net user slavik  /active:no
    (to disable this account)
    ren  \Users\Slavik  Slavik.bad
(to move the Slavik profile folder out of reach of Windows)
    rdd  /s  /q  c:\Users\Slavik.bad
(to permanently delete the Slavik profile folder)
Since I am not at all sure what the Slavik folder contains, you should wait at least one week before running the last command. If you run it immediately then you risk deleting files that you wanted to keep. These files cannot be deleted. You have been warned.
