The ""store and display recently used program"s option is disabled in the privacy section of the start menu tab. How do I enable this option?

My recently used programs section of the Start menu is empty.

I read the manual and following direction and in the Privacy Section there is an check option to display the prorams.

This option is disabled in my computer. How do I enable tis option?

Hi,

Try the steps provided below and check if they help in resolving the issue.

a)      Open Taskbar and Start Menu Properties by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Taskbar and Start Menu.

b)      Click the Start Menu tab, and then do one of the following:

 

                                 i.            To enable open programs appearing in the Start menu, put a check mark next to the Store and display recently opened programs in the Start menu check box.

                               ii.            To enable recently opened files in the Jump Lists on the taskbar and Start menu, put a checkmark next to the Store and display recently opened items in the Start menu and the taskbar check box.

c)       Click OK.
