How Do I Remove Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser?

Hello,

I have decided not to upgrade to Windows 10.

I would like to remove the Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser, and ProgramDataUpdater from my machine.

I have tried disabling them and even deleting them and they come as enabled.

I would like to get rid of them altogether.  Help is appreciated.

 Hi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community,

To remove the Win10  notification go to Control Panel > Programs & Features

On the left top side you will see “view installed updates” Click that

In the search window (upper right side) paste KB3035583

Right click KB3035583 and click uninstall

You will have to restart your computer

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Anusha

Hello, thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, removing this update did not remove the Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser or ProgramDataUpdater from my machine.

I had them disabled and I thought they would stay disabled but now I see that they are enabled again.

Any further guidance is appreciated.
