Hi,

Glad to know that you have sorted out the issue.

In control panel, you may Turn Windows Features on or off link on left. .NET Framework will be in the window that pops up, a checkmark next to it means it's installed.

Also Windows 7 comes with .Net Framework 4.0 Client profile, you need not install the lower version.

I suggest you to follow the instructions in the link :

Thanks Mr Winston,

I have resolved the "Network troubleshooting' issue by un-installing .net frame package and all its updates. Afterwards, i installed latest version of .net frame package i.e. 4.5.2 and and its updates ( updates of .net frame 3.5.1 ) except the last 2 i.e. KB2901112 and KB2911501.

Now, network troubleshoot is working. I doubt that one of these updates was causing the problem.

can you confirm how to verify that .net frame is installed properly because I am trying to install one software ( 1995 built) tiffsplitter.exe but it is showing error " This setup requires .net frame version 1.1.4322. Pl install .net framwork and run setup again'

Control panel shows the Microsoft .Netframework package 4.5.2 in the "Installed program" and also windows update history shows the updates of .netframework installed on my PC.

Thank you for your support.
