Windows 7 will not connect to the internet.

Since win 7 hpx64 updated on sun, I've been having problems connecting to the internet. I've found that I can fix it by unplugging my connection to the router during restart and then plugging the cable back in once 7 has fully booted. If I don't, I have network but no internet.  I can't keep messing with the cable every time I need to reboot.  Especially if I reboot from a remote location.  Please help.

Hi All,

For those of you who are having to disable and enable your network adapter, re-seat your ethernet cable, or have an Unidentified Public Network as well as a Home network, try the following fix:

  1. Click Start
  2. Right-click "Computer" and select "Manage".
  3. Expand "Services and Applications
  4. Click "Services".
  5. Find the ##Id_String1.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762## name in the list of services
  6. Double-click this to open up a Window.
  7. Under the General Tab next to Startup Type Select Disabled from the drop down.
  8. Now test and see if you still have connectivity issues.

You can see more information about this fix as well as several other troubleshooting steps on the following thread:

Please let me know if this helps or if I can be of further assistance!
