Since win 7 hpx64 updated on sun, I've been having problems connecting to the internet. I've found that I can fix it by unplugging my connection to the router during restart and then plugging the cable back in once 7 has fully booted. If I don't,
I have network but no internet. I can't keep messing with the cable every time I need to reboot. Especially if I reboot from a remote location. Please help.
For those of you who are having to disable and enable your network adapter, re-seat your ethernet cable, or have an Unidentified Public Network as well as a Home network, try the following fix:
Click Start
Right-click "Computer"
and select "Manage".
Expand "Services
and Applications"
Click "Services".
Find the ##Id_String1.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762## name
in the list of services
Double-click this to open up a Window.
Under the General
Tab next to Startup Type Select Disabled from
the drop down.
Now test and see if you still have connectivity issues.
